Refunds and Cancellations
This page explains how MHost handles cancellations, renewals and refunds for hosting, domain-related costs and any prepaid service periods. Nothing on this page limits any refund or cancellation right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
These pages are written in plain English to make billing, privacy and support expectations easier to understand before or after signup.
1. Cancelling hosting
You can ask to cancel hosting at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not usually create a refund for time already used in the current billing period.
2. Monthly services
For monthly hosting, cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid term. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, partial month refunds are not offered for unused time after a renewal date.
3. Annual or longer prepaid services
If you choose an annual or other prepaid term, the service remains active for the period paid for unless cancelled earlier. Refunds are not normally given for unused time remaining in a prepaid term once the service has been provisioned.
4. Domain names and third-party charges
Domain registration, renewal, transfer fees and similar third-party costs are usually non-refundable once submitted or processed. This also applies to any external licence, paid add-on or third-party service purchased specifically for your account.
5. Setup, migration and custom work
Fees for setup, migration, one-off technical work or custom assistance are generally non-refundable once the work has started or been completed.
6. Failed or duplicate payments
If you believe you have been charged in error, charged twice or renewed incorrectly, contact us promptly so we can review the payment and correct any genuine billing mistake.
7. Chargebacks
If a chargeback or payment dispute is raised, we may suspend the related service while the issue is investigated. Where a chargeback is found to be invalid, you remain responsible for the original charges and any associated costs.
8. Exceptional refunds
We may, at our discretion, offer a partial or full refund in exceptional circumstances. Any such refund does not create an obligation to offer the same outcome in future cases.
9. How to request cancellation
To avoid unwanted renewal, cancellation requests should be made before the next billing date and should clearly identify the relevant service. Keep a copy of your request and any confirmation for your records.
10. Contact
Questions about cancellations or refunds can be sent using the contact details shown on mhost.uk. Including your billing email address, domain and the service you want reviewed will help us deal with the request more quickly.
